State of Quore – Curiosity, Creativity and Connection
Teamwork is at the core of any successful organization, and a large part of Quore’s culture. Collaboration, effective communication and a strong sense of unity among team members are essential for achieving our common goals and objectives. To foster a positive team environment and strengthen team dynamics, Quore instituted quarterly team get-togethers known as State of Quore. These gatherings provide an opportunity for team members to connect on a more personal level, celebrate achievements and work together to address challenges.
State of Quore is a time for collaboration and community. We break from our daily routines for a shared understanding of Quore’s strategy, goals, plans and progress. It’s not all business – we also fuel our curiosity, creativity and connection as Team Quore.
We start the week off with updates from each department, company news, and what’s coming down the pipeline. We gather for meals, team building and sometimes a bit of friendly competition. Here are a few highlights from the past few State of Quore.
2023 Q2 State of Quore
The Quore Way
We’ve been around for going on 11 years now, and it’s said that as your company evolves, so should your values. To ensure that who we are as a company was wholly reflected through every level of our organization, we refreshed our values as The Quore Way.
The Quore Way mural is the first thing that you see when you walk into our office, and that’s intentional. For employees and visitors alike, you know immediately who we are and what we stand for. It reinforces the importance of our values, and that we have a culture that not only talks the talk but also walks the walk.
Quore Olympics
Since it’s been a few years since the inaugural games, so it was time for the next Quore Olympics! Team Quore was divided into smaller teams to compete for the ultimate prize–
bragging rights. From a paper airplane toss to a cotton ball scoop and an emoji quiz, our athletes competed hard and fiercely in a solid display of teamwork. Ultimately, Team Blue came ahead as the overall victorious team!
Team Quore at the Nashville Zoo
We wrapped up the week with family and friends on a wild and wonderful day out at the Nashville Zoo! The Nashville Zoo is a main staple of the greater Nashville area which makes for a great venue to get together with coworkers, friends and family.
During our picnic, we had a lighthearted awards ceremony where we recognized a few awards, like the Racehorse Award, Referee Award, Confetti Award and Squirrel Award. And on a more serious note, our Rookie of the Year! It was a fantastic opportunity for our team to celebrate each other’s unique quirks and talents in a fun and entertaining way.
2023 Q3 State of Quore
National Miniature Golf Day
As luck would have it, National Miniature Golf Day was during SoQ Week. We celebrated by splitting up into teams to create 9 holes using only items from the office or at home. Once the holes were constructed, it was a “par-tee” around the office testing our putting skills.
Congratulations to Brandon Coffee from the marketing team for taking home 1st place with the best putting skills in the office!
Quore Cares
Team Quore cares about giving back to the community through Quore Cares. Twenty team members and one furry, four-legged friend headed out to Pinkerton Park to pick up trash. This is the most highly used passive park in the Franklin park system with a walking trail, playgrounds, pavilions and grills for the community to use. We split into teams of two to walk the 34-acre park and pick up trash so we could leave the park better than we found it.
In addition to volunteering as a team, Quore allows each employee 16 hours annually of Volunteer Time Off (VTO) to use anywhere we choose. This could include volunteering at a non-profit close to your heart, walking dogs for a local shelter, or serving meals at a soup kitchen.
SoQ left us ready to conquer Q4 and excited for the next projects that Team Quore has in the works!
